Judy Gold to Headline Ha! Ridge Hill; The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools

1.) Judy Gold will be the first female comic to headline Westchester comedy club Ha! Ridge Hill. Gold is beyond hilarious, talented and has a lengthy list of accolades, which you can find here.

Morris, co-founder of the?National Black Womens Justice Institute, says that the instances of a 16-year-old black teen?being expelled for a science experiment; another girl?tossed to the ground during a pool party fight; an another thrown across the room in a South Carolina classroom are not all coincidences.

She says the U.S. has a trend of judging and condemning black girls and teens based on ideologies of racism and patriarchy, and explores this in her new book ?Pushout: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools.
