2.)?Monique W. Morris, co-founder of the?National Black Womens Justice Institute, says that the instances of a 16-year-old black teen?being expelled for a science experiment; another girl?tossed to the ground during a pool party fight; an another thrown across the room in a South Carolina classroom are not all coincidences.
She says the U.S. has a trend of judging and condemning black girls and teens based on ideologies of racism and patriarchy, and explores this in her new book ?Pushout: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools.
