Astorino Says ‘No’ to Syrian Refugees, Cuomo ‘Yes’

Political?nemeses Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino and New York State Gov. Andrew Cuomo again find themselves in disagreement over a hot button issue. This week it’s over whether on not the U.S. should allow Syrian refugees into our country.

Astorino, a Republican, says the U.S. should refuse Syrian refugees unless officials can ensure complete safety.

Astorino’s political nemesis Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, says a balance should be struck.?

“We have to protect Americans and not lose our soul?as America in the process,” Cuomo told David Gergen in an interview at?the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government.
