Anne FitzSimmons is First White Plains Female Police Chief; Yonkers Idol Tryouts

1.) White Plains promoted its first woman to?Chief of Police Monday. Anne FitzSimmons, who previously served as Assistant Chief, has been a member of?the White Plains Police Department for 36 years.
According to the?Examiner, she was one of the first females to be assigned to regular patrol duties and was the first woman?to achieve the rank of Captain.
