NY’s First Breast Milk Bank; Girl Power Forum; Traits of Confident Women

 

Here’s what’s happening Today in the 914, according to Westchester Woman:

1.) We’ve all heard about the benefits of breastfeeding our children, however some moms have trouble getting access to healthy breast milk. New York women have created the state’s first donor-driven breast milk bank for moms who can’t produce or get access to their own breast milk.

Sister to Sister International, an organization to link women of African decent globally, and?Community Partner present the Girl Power Forum on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Honorable Kathie E. Davidson, the supervising Judge for Family Courts in the Ninth Judicial District, will serve at the keynote speaker.

The Galleria mall in White Plains gets new owner

The deal was announced this week. WHITE PLAINS – The Galleria shopping mall has a new owner. Pacific Retail Capital Partners announced this week that it has added the 870,000-square-foot mall on 100 Main St. – along with two other regional shopping centers elsewhere – to its portfolio, in joint venture with an investment partner.
