Greenburgh’s Dr. Olivia Hooker Turns 101; Seasonal Affective Disorder Cures

1.) Our friends at A Mighty Girl gave a shout out to Greenburgh’s own Dr. Olivia Hooker who is celebrating her 101st birthday this week. Dr. Hooker, a survivor of the Tulsa Race riots, was the first African American woman to enlist in the U.S. Coast Guard. 2.) Got a case of the winter blues? You’re not the only one. Seasonal Affective Disorder or S.A.D. occurs typically during the winter months and can cause depression and or lack of energy and motivation. S.A.D. affects more woman than men, according to the Mayo Clinic. You don’t have to just push through another winter, there are things you can do to help remedy?S.A.D.
