National No Bra Day, Ada Lovelace Day; Gold Medal Beer Night at Growlers; Jobs For Moms; NY and Facebook Fight Sex Trafficking – Today, Oct. 13 in the 914

1.) Today is National No Bra Day, which is meant to bring awareness to the breast cancer survivors who cant go without a bra because they need it to hold their prosthesis in after surgery.

It’s also Ada Lovelace Day!??Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace was born in 1815 and died in 1852. During her life she was an English mathematician and writer. She is known for her work on Charles Babbage’s general purpose computer and is credited as ?the first computer programmer.
On Ada Lovelace Day, we celebrate and encourage women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields.

2.) Recently, Americas most serious craft beer brewers competed at the Great America Beer Festival (GABF) in Denver. Growlers Beer Bistro in Tuckhoe will be serving the GABFs top prize winning beers on Thursday, Oct. 15 for Gold Medal Night.
Winning a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival is a big deal, says Eric Lorberfeld, owner of Growlers Beer Bistro. Every brewer wants one and beer lovers can taste the difference. Were really excited to share a few of these at this event.
Youll get the chance to taste six of these world-class beers at Growlers from 7-10 p.m. on Thursday, and get bragging rights for the rest of the week.
