Lohud to Focus on Transgender Issues; Miss USA 2016 is An Army Reserve Officer

Here’s what’s happening Today in the 914, according to Westchester Woman:

1.) The Journal News/lohud will be discussing transgender issues and will live broadcast the panel discussion at 11 a.m. There will be five individuals from the LGBTQA community who will answer questions and share their insight, including Angie Piwinski, a transgender woman from Yonkers who is a member of Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano’s LGBT Advisory Board. We got to meet Piwinski at LOFT Pride 2016 on Saturday, and snapped the pic of her above.

You can send your questions to letters@lohud.com, using the subject line “Transgender Panel.”

2.) Deshauna Barber, an Army Reserve Officer and IT analyst from the District of Columbia, was crowned Miss USA 2016. So great to have a strong woman as a role model for women and girls in America.

Yasss Queen!
