Kid/Adult-Friendly DIY Paper Plate and Bow Holiday Wreath

Both?toddlers and adults can have fun making this DIY paper plate and bow holiday wreath that?you’ll be proud to hang?on your door.

What you will need:

  • A Paper Plate
  • Scissors
  • Glue Gun/ School Glue
  • Light Green, Dark Green and Red Bows (or whatever color scheme you want to use) – I chose the small gift bows that come in the large packs
  • A Big Red Ribbon
  • Fake holly branches (optional, in case you want to get fancy)

what you'll need

Here’s how to make it:

First cut a hole in the center of your paper plate. I folded the plate in half and cut a half circle, but don’t worry if it isn’t cut perfectly the bows will cover it.?Next select your color scheme. I chose to use the bows in the green family to imitate a traditional wreath, but you can use blue and silver for a Hanukkah theme. Or use whatever colors you want.

This is great for toddlers, because they can simply peel and stick the bows using the attached labels or regular school glue to attach them to the paper plate.

Adults can get a little fancier with it for a more durable wreath that can be hung and displayed.

I took the white sticky tabs off the backs and hot glued the bows in two layers around the paper plate. You will want to overlap the bows so no white spots show.?I glued a red bow at the top and attached a loop for hanging.

Once I hung the wreath I decided that it still needed a little more embellishing, so I added some red holly branches.?And… perfect!

I just love how absolutely adorable and festive this came out?without looking cheap. That is one good looking paper plate!
