1.) Happy belated birthday White Plains! The City of White Plains turned 100-years-old on Jan. 1, which marks the day in 1916 when it officially became a city. According to the White Plains Historical Society‘s Facebook page, White Plains originally existed as a separate village and town toward the end of the 19th century before the state declared it as an official city.

2.) While Westchester is known for its amazing school districts, it’s always nice to see it acknowledged in the media. Niche.com has ranked 27 in the County among the 100 best school districts in the state, according to White Plains Daily Voice.
