Gordo’s North
1006 Broadway, Thornwood
Their motto is Eat, Drink, Dance… so, yeah. Every town should have a Gordo’s North. Not only is their menu incredibly tasty and appropriate for a meal with both family and friends, but it’s also the perfect spot to host a private party or have a post-work drink. They also host a trivia night. But our favorite thing about Gordo’s North is its DJ nights which take place on certain Friday or Saturday nights and feature a variety of DJs spinning old-school freestyle, hip-hop, and pop hits. Check out their Facebook page for details.
NoMa Social
1 Radisson Plaza, New Rochelle
Located just off the lobby of the Radisson Hotel New Rochelle, NoMa Social boasts a sultry, stylish vibe that’s sophisticated but not snobbish. Plush purple velvet couches and white leather wing chairs create cozy seating areas, while the extensive cocktail list and handpicked wines ensure there’s something for every taste. Enjoy live music and DJs on Fridays and Saturdays. They also host salsa dance lessons. If that wasn’t cool enough, they host brunch with a DJ for the ULTIMATE Sunday Funday experience.
The Garage at Lucy’s
446 Bedford Road, Pleasantville
Looking for a laid-back place to shake that thang? Check out The Garage at Lucy’s in Pleasantville. They’ve got an abundance of live bands flowing through their doors along with open mic nights and other other fun events like knitting classes. While you’re there, grab a burger in The Basement and play some vintage arcade games in The Digital Frontier, all at Lucy’s. The event list for The Garage can be found here, but you’ll also want to check out their website and socials for more details.
Garcia’s
145 Westchester Avenue, Port Chester
Garcia’s is the bar in the lobby at The Capitol Theater in Port Chester that pays homage to Grateful Dead guitarist and singer Jerry Garcia. It’s basically a venue within a venue since local artists often play in this space. Garcia’s offers the opportunity to grab a cocktail and your two-step on. They have regular dance parties, including themed ones like a Taylor Swift night.
Don’t Forget to Take Some Killer Photos!
These days, neon is a natural part of a bar. It can be one of the features that attracts us to a local establishment. You’ll find it in various Westchester bars and clubs. Installing bar neon in a bar can affect customers on a visual level, giving a more immersive and mysterious feeling and enhancing the customer experience in the bar. But the best part is that it is great for creating the perfect background for some pics for the ‘Gram.
If you’re going to go dancing and get all dolled up, you better be taking some photos! Custom bar neon signs can be tailored according to customer needs to create appropriate lighting or accommodate bright colors, beautiful shapes, activity changes, and different fonts that offer a dynamic rhythm and help to create a sense of intimacy so that the atmosphere of the bar and nightclub is more intense and people want to linger on, immersed in it. If you fall in love with some of the neon signs you see in a bar, no worries! You can purchase similar customized bar neon signs for your own home.
