LWV Westchester Talk Medicare-For-All, Health Care Crisis; Watercooler Closing For Rebirth

Here’s what’s happening?Today in the 914,?according to Westchester Woman:

1.)?The League of Women of Westchester will host a screening of the short documentary “FIX IT: Healthcare at the Tipping Point” on Sunday, April 3 at 1:30 p.m. at the White Plains Public Library.

The film will be followed by a discussion on our costly and inefficient healthcare system?led by New York State Assemblywoman Amy Paulin and Dr. Elizabeth Rosenthal from Physicians for a National Health Program, who will discuss potential solutions, such as a Medicaid-for-all type program.

2.) Jenifer Ross and Tom Schumacher once?dreamt of a place where independent professionals could work amongst each other to fulfill their aspirations. Their manifestation of that dream is?The Watercooler?in Tarrytown,?a rentable shared public workspace for?visionaries, creatives types, entrepreneurs and other professionals.

The dream got so big that their taking a step back to re-assess The Watercooler’s future. The office space will be closed once their lease is up, but Ross and Schumacher promise that this only means a rebirth of dream.
