Ignite LGBTQ Bistro Opens in White Plains; New Non-Profit Seeks to Take Over Pets Alive

Here’s what’s happening today in the 914:

1.) We are so so so excited about the opening of Ignite Bar and Bistro in White Plains, a LGBTQ bar lounge and bistro serving?food everyday until 10 p.m. After that they are a full service bar until closing time.

Need more of a reason to be excited about this? Two words… DRAG BRUNCH!!!

Yup! On Sundays, Ignite serves a?$35 prix fixe menu with unlimited mimosas, bloody marys and screwdrivers that includes a drag show from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. It look so fun! Check out New 12 Westchester’s video here.

2.) The newly formed?Paws Crossed?is looking to take over Pets Alive Westchester, which shuttered its doors in Elmsford in September due to structural problems. Pets Alive, which operates out of Middletown, says that once the structural damage is fixed the facility will be handed over to another operator.
