1.) Irvington based retailer?Eileen Fisher?will host a?mega-sale of its?gently worn sustainably made clothing at the Green Eileen Recycling Center in Irvington, 50 S. Buckhout St. Ste. G8, today and tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fall and winter seasonal garments will be sold for $10 and up. Arrive early, dress comfortably and bring those bottles of water because they store says they expect long lines for this event.
Green Eileen’s recycled clothing profits support programs for women and girls. You can also donate your gently used Eileen Fisher clothes at recycling centers in Irvington, Woodbury Center, Yonkers and Seattle, WA.
According to Eileen Fisher’s website:
the average American throws out 70 pounds of clothing a year. By reselling our clothing at GREEN EILEEN stores, we create a second market. What we can’t sell, we upcycle at GREEN EILEEN’s community-building workshops.
