Here’s what’s happening today, Jan. 8 in the 914, according to Westchester Woman:

1.) Want a chance to help create positive change in your community? The Junior League of Central Westchester (JLCW) is looking for new members and is inviting women who live or work in Eastchester, Greenburgh, Scarsdale and White Plains to their?semi-annual Recruiting Coffees at historic Wayside Cottage on Jan.?28 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 29 at 9:30 a.m.

If you’re thinking of committing a crime online, just remember… the police are online too.?The Citizen Observer reports that one individual didn’t realize this and was?arrested after he or she?allegedly stole?Honda parts knicked from cars in?Yonkers, then tried to sell them to?undercover police officers through a Craigslist ad.

  • Insist on a public meeting place that isn’t secluded
  • Consider taking someone you know with your, tell?someone you know where you’re going and bring your cell phone
  • Do meet at your house
  • Be cautious when?buying/selling high value items, make sure you don’t suspect them to be stolen
  • Trust your instincts

    Having read this I believed it was rather informative. I appreciate you
    finding the time and energy to put this information together.

    I once again find myself personally spending a significant amount
    of time both reading and commenting. But so what, it was still worth it!
